Pharmaceutical Formulation: Solution for Injection
Cattle.
Active substances: Specific antibody against E.coli’s EC (O1O1: H-K99+F41+) and 11A (O?:H-K99+:, F(Y)+) strains
Excipients: 0,4% phenol
Calf hyperimmune serum is used to treat and protect newborn calves against septicemia caused by E.coli.
Serum is administered by subcutaneous injection of 5 ml to newborn calves for protection. For treatment, 10 ml is administered either by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection in the early period of symptoms.
Should be stored at +2/8ºC, in the dark and without freezing.
Withdrawal period is not related to immune serum preparations.
5 ml (1 protective dose) placed in 10-unit plastic trays or in styrofoam as unboxed; 10 ml (2 protective doses or 1 treatment dose) and 50 ml (10 protective doses or 5 treatment doses) in amber-colored Type II glass vials sealed with butyl stoppers and aluminum caps, and labeled.
