Dollvet Hosted the Global PPR Vaccine Producers Meeting
PPR Vaccine Producers Meeting 2025 Successfully Concluded in Şanlıurfa
The PPR Vaccine Producers Meeting 2025, held on 5–7 November 2025 at Nevali Hotel, Şanlıurfa, was successfully concluded as a significant step toward the control and eradication of small ruminant diseases.
Organized by the FAO and WOAH PPR Secretariat and hosted by Dollvet, the international meeting brought together vaccine producers, representatives of international organizations, and researchers from more than 20 countries.
This international gathering was organized to review ongoing efforts within the framework of the PPR Global Eradication Programme (PPR-GEP), which aims to achieve the global eradication of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR)—a disease threatening sheep and goat populations worldwide—by 2030.
Throughout the meeting, participants discussed several critical topics, including:
- Development of thermotolerant and DIVA PPR vaccines,
- The role of combined vaccines in field applications,
- Quality control standards and manufacturer capacities,
- Effective field implementation and labeling processes.
Dollvet’s Role
As one of Türkiye’s leading veterinary biotechnology companies, Dollvet not only supported the meeting as the host organization but also shared its expertise in vaccine production and quality control with participants.
Dollvet continues to contribute to the global eradication efforts led by FAO and WOAH through its scientific know-how, technological infrastructure, and field experience.
International Participation
In addition to FAO and WOAH, representatives from international organizations such as AU-PANVAC, ILRI, and IAEA, as well as numerous PPR vaccine manufacturers and research institutions from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, participated in the meeting.
During the three-day sessions, participants exchanged experiences and reached a consensus on shaping a global roadmap in line with the 2030 eradication goal.
As Dollvet, we are proud to be part of this important step toward the elimination of PPR and remain committed to contributing to the sustainable future of livestock farming through innovative solutions for small ruminant health.
