We launched Rocodoll, our new vaccine developed against calf diarrhea caused by Rotavirus, coronavirus and E.coli, with prominent names in animal health.
We would like to thank once again our distinguished speakers, Dr. Huseyin Zengin, Prof. Dr. Hasan Batmaz, Prof. Dr. Hasan Huseyin Hadimli, Dr. Nilay Ünal, Uğur Topal, Prof. Dr. Aykut Özdarendeli, the developer of our domestic Covid-19 vaccine Turkovac, and Mr. Barış Kolgu who moderated our live broadcast.

Dr. Hüseyin Zengin stated that Dollvet’s ultimate goal is to roll out a global brand from Turkey and to have a wide product portfolio in all areas of biotechnology. He said the period we are currently going through has once again shown the importance of vaccines, and Dollvet is working with this awareness.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Batmaz – Uludağ University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
Prof. Dr. Hasan Batmaz started his speech stating that diarrhea is the cause of 80-90% of calves losses occurring in the neonatal period. Confirming that the main goal in the prevention of diarrhea infections should be protection, Batmaz said, special care should be taken to ensure the vaccine is rich in content, application times are accurate and there is sufficient time for the transition of IgG to colostrum.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Hadimli – Selçuk University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Hadimli stated that the most common causes of calf diarrhea are Rotavirus, Coronavirus and E. Coli, and these losses can be prevented with vaccination and hygiene measures. Hadimli underlined that vaccination should be preferred over the use of antibiotics.
Dr. Nilay Ünal – Dollvet R&D Director
To define just in one sentence, R&D is a clear reflection of knowledge and experience.
Dr. Nilay Ünal started her speech emphasizing that Dollvet has the only biological product R&D center in Turkey certified by the Ministry of Industry. She further stated; rotavirus, coronavirus and E.coli strains in Rocodoll are completely domestic. She pointed out that the virus isolates had been derived from 674 samples, collected from acute diarrheic calves in their first 30 days, in 12 different provinces between the years 2013 and 2017, and that the E.coli strains also consisted of completely local strains obtained from Pendik Veterinary Control Institute.
